Juanita Weber passed away on Tuesday, February 28th in Woodburn. She was 79. The daughter of Joseph and Florence Jordan. She was married to Lloyd Weber in 1961. They later divorced. Juanita lived in Charlo, Montana, Walla Walla, Washington, Newberg and Portland, Oregon before moving to her farm in Estacada in 1978. She had worked for the Corps of Engineers in Portland, having started in drafting. She retired at the age of 55 from Economic Studies. She had won several awards and recognitions in the early 80’s from the Corps of Engineers due to her work on the Mt. St. Helens eruption. She loved her horses and was a dog lover at heart. Never afraid to venture out on her own in her motor home with her trusty Doberman by her side. She was a woman of strong will and determination. She was fortunate enough to retire at the age of 55 due to her careful planning and hard work. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers Marion Wayne Jordan and Eldon “Wally” Jordan . She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Swenson; and grandson; Michael Swenson.
